Referrals to traditional healing services are given by request (s). All group sessions are facilitated by certified, Licensed, or professional industry leaders and accompanied by Intervention specialist. Supreme Transitions hosts a podcast, “The Single Mommy Hustle”, that invites community partners, agencies, service providers, and culturally specific activists as well as DV/SA survivors to join a conversation via social media platforms in a discrete manner to become educated about programs available within the community and discuss topics relevant to the Communities of color. Supreme Transitions is on multiple State and Local partners lists and provides trainings per request. The executive director is a national consultant and participates/Facilitates National, State, & Local discussions to raise awareness of the disparities in the Black community on the many intersections of domestic violence.
We equip survivors of domestic and sexual violence with the tools needed for them to gain total self-sufficiency through wrap around services, non-traditional healing modalities, and healing group sessions.
Through our services we hope our clients will discover and gain freedom and life long changes to operate at their "highest" or "supreme" self. We also envision communities of color free of violence and thriving.
All programs follow the philosophy of Sankofa: We should reach back and gather the best of what our past has to teach us so that we can achieve our full potential as we move forward. Whatever we have lost, forgotten, forgone, or been stripped of can be reclaimed, revived, preserved, and perpetuated.
Our Theory of Change
We believe that by evidence of historical trauma, Black Women and their families have not received the quality of care or services on their healing journey to lead full and self-sufficient lives. Stereotypes & Myths about Black women’s pain threshold, access to adequate care, and knowledge of their rights need to be debunked and the opportunity for healing be available in their own time, cultural preferences, and autonomy.
