Our Program
Our programming is designed to create a holistic, empowering, and supportive environment for survivors within the Black community. Through education, healing modalities, community engagement, and awareness events, we work to uplift and empower every individual on their journey towards healing and transformation.
Comprehensive Intake and Crisis Support
Our programming begins with a thorough intake process, ensuring that each survivor's needs and experiences are understood. We provide immediate crisis support, focusing on safety planning and exit strategies, creating a foundation of security and empowerment from the start.
Workshops
We offer a range of educational workshops that cover various key topics. These workshops are designed to empower survivors with knowledge and resources. From COVID-19 safety and resources to safety and exit planning, power dynamics, and the importance of storytelling in the healing journey, our workshops provide practical insights and information.
Cultural Considerations and Support
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Black survivors of non-intimate partner sexual assault, we emphasize "Cultural Considerations." Traumatic experiences may lead to severe depression and anxiety, creating barriers to everyday activities and mental health services. To break down these barriers, we offer practical assistance such as housekeeping support, grocery delivery service fees, and potential co-pays for traditional healing services within the comfort of their homes.
"I am Evidence Healing Rocks"
"I am Evidence: Healing Rocks," a peer-to-peer support group that stands as a testament to the evidence of healing possibilities within the Black survivor community. This art therapy group is tailored for survivors of non-intimate partner rape and sexual assault, providing a nurturing space for self-discovery, empowerment, and education.
